About PTM Owner

My name is Leonard Cornelius, and I am the proud founder of Protect Their Minds (PTM).
I wear many hats in life: I’m a single full-time father, a full-time student, a business owner, and a veteran. Trust me when I say this—I understand the challenges life can throw at us.
I grew up in a two-parent household that was far from perfect. Our family faced physical, emotional, and mental hardships. My mother, brother, and I endured these struggles, largely stemming from my father—a man who carried his own unresolved pain. We eventually found the strength to break away from that life and rebuild ourselves, but the journey was far from easy.
I share this story because I know we weren’t alone in that experience. Too many families are trapped in similar cycles of stress, trauma, and hurt. This is why I founded Protect Their Minds.
My mission is simple but powerful: to protect and nurture the minds of children by addressing the root causes of mental health struggles—starting with the adults who shape their world. As a father, I understand firsthand how important it is to create a safe and supportive environment for our children. But I also know that parents and caregivers need support, too. When we help adults heal, we create healthier homes and brighter futures for the next generation.
At PTM, we are committed to being more than just a voice of understanding. We are here to take action. I want to create a safe space for children and adults alike—a space free from judgment, where feelings are heard, and solutions are found.
I am passionate about this cause because I believe every family deserves the chance to break free from the cycle of pain and create a home filled with love, understanding, and smiles. Together, we can make this vision a reality.
